Job summary

Viceroy Hotels in Sun Valley, Idaho is seeking a Maintenance Engineer II to oversee daily operation, maintenance, and reliability of hotel engineering systems to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted property operations.

This role supports the Engineering Supervisor in maintaining guest rooms, public areas, plant equipment, and recreational facilities in accordance with safety standards and luxury hospitality expectations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade certification preferred.
• 3–5+ years of hotel engineering or related field.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting and carpentry.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related systems.
• Support guest experience by promptly addressing maintenance requests.
• Monitor and operate equipment and building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, safety systems).
• Ensure compliance with safety codes and use of PPE.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
• Coordinate with other departments and contractors.
