Job summary

Hotel Leveque is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to uphold the hotel’s facilities and systems. You will tackle preventative maintenance, respond to guest needs, and ensure safe, efficient operation of building equipment.

Requirements include 2+ years of maintenance experience (hotel preferred), a high school diploma or equivalent, and electrical/plumbing certification is a plus. Strong communication and physical stamina are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of maintenance experience, preferably in a hotel or similar facility.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in the primary language used in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Proactively maintain the physical building structure, systems, and equipment with preventative and routine maintenance.
• Complete grounds and custodial work as needed or assigned.
• Use tools and power equipment safely per manufacturer guidelines.
• Perform building/equipment repairs including plumbing, painting, carpentry, sheetrock, and electrical work.
• Prioritize repairs that affect guest experience.
• Communicate with hotel departments to ensure timely maintenance responses.
• Listen to guests and address concerns, involving other departments when needed.
• Maintain professionalism per hotel brand and company expectations.
• Know and communicate hotel emergency procedures; assist guests during emergencies.
• Balance and log house bank transactions if applicable.
