Job summary

CityGate Centre is seeking an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to support the Executive Housekeeper in delivering a luxury guest experience. You will ensure rooms and public spaces meet exacting standards and lead a team with calm presence.

This hands-on role requires staffing coordination, training, and collaboration with Front Office and Engineering to maintain seamless operations. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college coursework or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of hotel housekeeping experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years in a supervisory or Housekeeping management role.
• Experience with Property Management Systems a plus.
• Bilingual English/Spanish speaking and writing skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily housekeeping operations across all shifts.
• Lead on-floor presence and assist with room cleaning and inspections.
• Assign daily work, balance staffing, and adjust priorities.
• Coach, train, and support associates to ensure standards.
• Onboard new hires and provide ongoing training.
• Cross-train staff for operational flexibility.
• Prepare VIP and special-request rooms with Front Office collaboration.
• Respond to guest concerns promptly and professionally.
• Support turn-down and evening service for consistency.
• Conduct routine inspections and enforce safety and cleanliness standards.
• Monitor labor, inventory, and laundry operations.
• Advise on safety, sustainability, and compliance.
