The JW Marriott Reston Station, a Davidson Hospitality Group managed luxury property, seeks an experienced General Manager to lead through a portfolio transition and elevate guest experiences in Reston, VA. The role requires a proven track record in luxury, full-service hotels and strong financial leadership.

The successful candidate will oversee rooms, F&B, sales, marketing, finance and HR, building a high-performing team and partnering with ownership to drive profitability and long-term

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience, including GM/President of a luxury or full-service hotel.
• Proven success leading complex operations and delivering strong financial results.
• Experience in Forbes-rated, Michelin-starred, or similarly high-end luxury environments preferred.
• Strong financial acumen with budgets, forecasting, revenue, and expenses.
• Exceptional leadership and team-development skills with the ability to inspire a diverse team.
• Strategic, results-oriented mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for hotel operations, ensuring exceptional service, quality, and financial performance
• Lead all aspects of hotel operations, including rooms, food & beverage, sales, marketing, finance, and human resources
• Develop and execute strategic business plans to drive profitability, revenue growth, and long-term success
• Build and maintain a high-performing, engaged leadership team and foster a culture of accountability and service excellence
• Maintain exceptional operational and quality standards consistent with a luxury hospitality environment
• Partner closely with ownership and Davidson leadership to establish goals, navigate the portfolio transition, and drive property performance
• Analyze market trends, competitive positioning, and business opportunities to support continued growth
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, revenue generation, and overall financial performance
• Serve as a visible ambassador for the hotel, cultivating relationships with guests, associates, ownership, and key community and industry partners
