Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking a friendly door attendant at The Historic Cavalier Hotel and Beach Club, Autograph Collection in Virginia Beach. You will warmly greet guests, assist with luggage and directions, and support front desk operations as part of a collaborative guest services team.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, hotel experience preferred, and a professional appearance. Medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plans, and room discounts are among the benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Hotel or hospitality experience preferred.
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times and communicate well with guests.
• Knowledge of the hotel and the city for guest inquiries.
• Ability to lift/move packages up to 75 lbs with or without accommodation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and adaptable communication style.

Responsibilities

• Open vehicle and hotel doors and greet arriving and departing guests.
• Hail taxis as needed and assist guests with directions and local attractions.
• Greet VIPs and repeat guests by name and provide information as requested.
• Sweep and mop the front door area to maintain a clean appearance.
• Know emergency procedures and assist in emergencies as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out calls and escort guests between front door and desk as required.
• Adhere to attendance rules and be available on a regular schedule.
