Job summary

Proper Hospitality's Austin Proper Hotel & Residences seeks a responsive Server to deliver exceptional food and beverage service in the Quill Room. You will take orders, deliver meals, and maintain a welcoming dining area while collaborating with kitchen and bar teams.

The ideal candidate brings strong communication, a high attention to detail, and a genuine passion for guest care. High school diploma and experience in hospitality preferred; ServSafe certification a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and explain menus or promotions.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders noting dietary needs.
• Serve food and beverages with accuracy, presentation, and quality.
• Upsell items to enhance guest experience and sales.
• Maintain a clean, stocked dining area and reset tables for new guests.
• Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service.
• Assist with pre-service tasks and training of new servers.
• Process payments and handle transactions accurately.
