Job summary

Hotel Carmichael is seeking a skilled bartender to join the Food & Beverage team in Carmel, Indiana. The role requires delivering exceptional guest experiences, crafting cocktails, and maintaining a welcoming bar environment.

The bartender will handle drink preparation, wine service, upselling, and POS transactions, while ensuring bar cleanliness and proper stock levels throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• Must maintain Indiana license and be 21+ years old.
• Outgoing personality with strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of wines by the glass and cocktails; ability to pair beverages.
• Basic math and money handling abilities.
• Experience in bartending, serving and/or customer service.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and seat them warmly.
• Present menus, take orders, and prepare/serve beverages according to recipes.
• Perform wine service when needed and upsell drink and food items.
• Record orders in the POS system and process payments.
• Maintain bar cleanliness and stock; communicate guest needs to staff.
