Job summary

Bluejack Builders in Aledo, Texas, is seeking a Purchasing/Procurement professional for our new home builds. This in-office, full-time role manages purchasing inquiries, POs, and vendor communications to keep projects on track.

Responsibilities include coordinating POs, negotiating with suppliers, and overseeing BuilderTrend-based processes. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in residential construction, with MS Office and BuilderTrend experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in the new home residential construction industry.
• Knowledge of construction materials and processes.
• Knowledge and experience with Microsoft suite.
• Previous experience in homebuilding software platforms (BuilderTrend a plus).
• Ability to review and interpret contract documents, building plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for all purchasing inquiries, orders, and vendor communications.
• Coordinate purchase orders for all builds, resolving issues with inaccurate purchase orders in Buildertrend.
• Negotiate with suppliers to obtain quality products and optimal pricing.
• Lead vendor bidding, tracking, and award process.
• Compile cost analysis for bids.
• Obtain and compile cost and takeoff data for change orders and coordinate with Operations Manager/Coordinator.
