Job summary

Bravas is seeking a Home Experience Designer to take input from sales, develop original designs and proposals, and turn them into installable, well-documented systems. The designer acts as the subject-matter expert for lighting and shade control and supports all product lines sold by Bravas.

The role requires proficiency in residential lighting control and motorized shades, with strong documentation and CAD skills.

Qualifications

• Understanding of all AV systems with emphasis on lighting and shade control.
• Ability to read and construct documentation such as house plans and elevations.
• Commitment to continuing education on lighting and shading control.

Responsibilities

• Research products and recommend to sales based on functionality.
• Produce installation documents: plans, drawings, elevations.
• Collaborate with Design and Sales to realize the vision.
• Ensure cross-trade requirements are captured on drawings and communicated.
• Create innovative ways to achieve results within budget and constraints.
• Attend design meetings with engineers for feedback on improvements.
• Review sales orders, product lists and elevations with teams as needed.
• Update project docs, proposals, and change orders in PM software.
• Coordinate with vendors and industry experts on new equipment.
• Provide remote support for field technicians.
• Occasionally travel to sites to witness systems in use.
• Train and communicate essential information to field staff.
• Manage assets and ensure security and confidentiality.
• Maintain high standards of customer service with high-profile clients.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal laws including traffic laws.
