Goodwin Recruiting in Traverse City, MI is seeking a Mechanical Engineer/Estimator to design HVAC and plumbing systems for luxury residential projects and develop accurate estimates from plans and specs.

You'll collaborate with architects, builders, and project teams to ensure code-compliant, cost-effective designs, while identifying value engineering opportunities and contributing to long-term client relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience designing residential HVAC systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC and plumbing systems for custom residential construction projects.
• Develop accurate estimates by reviewing architectural plans, specifications, and project requirements.
• Design efficient ductwork layouts that meet code requirements and maximize system performance.
• Collaborate with architects, builders, project managers, and internal teams throughout the estimating process.
• Identify value engineering opportunities while maintaining quality and performance standards.
• Build lasting relationships with custom home builders, architects, and developers.
• Ensure seamless project transitions from estimating through construction.
• Support continued growth by delivering exceptional customer service and technical expertise.
