Job summary

Michigan Mechanical Ventures is seeking a Commercial HVAC Estimator to join our Southeast Michigan team. You will calculate costs for commercial HVAC installations, repairs and maintenance with accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities include analyzing blueprints, sourcing quotes, and collaborating with PMs and clients to ensure estimates align with project goals and budget.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as HVAC Estimator in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, components and installation methods.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specs.
• Proficiency with estimating software (AccuBid, FastDUCT, Bluebeam) and MS Office.
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.

• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for commercial HVAC projects.

Michigan Mechanical Ventures is a fast-growing contractor in Southeast Michigan looking to add talented and driven individuals to our team. We are a Family-owned Plumbing/HVAC company focused primarily on commercial service and new construction looking for a full-time Commercial HVAC Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our project success by accurately calculating the costs of HVAC installations, repairs, and maintenance projects. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of HVAC systems and excellent analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for commercial and residential HVAC projects.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of work and materials needed.
• Source and obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure estimates align with project goals and budget.
• Maintain and update a database of material costs, labor rates, and historical project data.
• Identify potential risks and opportunities that may affect project costs.
• Present and review estimates with management and clients.

• A relevant degree or certification is a plus.
