Job summary

Bluejack Builders in Texas seeks a Construction Manager to oversee home construction projects from ground to close, ensuring quality and safety. You will manage budgets, schedules, and field personnel, coordinating with contractors and maintaining Buildertrend records. A Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of CM experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred; 5+ years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of construction materials.
• Knowledge of construction management processes.
• Knowledge and experience with Microsoft suite.
• Previous experience with Buildertrend or similar software.
• Ability to review and interpret contract documents, building plans and specifications.
• Ability to understand and apply laws, rules, building codes, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
• Ability to inspect construction projects for compliance and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Review and refine defined scopes of work and deliverables.
• Work with estimator in reviewing construction budget based on the scope of work.
• Manage costs in order to meet budget.
• Provide direction and manage relationships with all contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Oversee construction deliveries; coordinate and schedule labor trades (release PO in Buildertrend when relevant).
• Manage construction schedule and activities and record in Buildertrend.
• Order utilities and meter numbers; coordinate QA walks and buyer walks.
• Issue progress updates on costs and timelines.
• Ensure compliance with building and safety codes and SWPPP BMPs.
• Adhere to the quality control plan and Bluejack standards.
• Maintain daily logs and photos in Buildertrend; manage costs and change orders.
• Coordinate with other Construction Managers on trades, deliveries, and orders.
• Recruit and retain new labor trades and handle warranty requests on completed homes.
• Complete Buildertrend Academy courses and sign certificates.
