Job summary

Goodwill NYNJ is seeking an Authentication Associate — E-Commerce to verify items before listing on ShopGoodwill and other marketplaces. You will work on the floor with the production team, inspecting donated goods for authenticity and documenting decisions with supporting evidence.

The role requires strong brand knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to craft compelling listings that drive bids while maintaining Goodwill's standards and policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; gemology or fashion certification is a plus.
• Proven knowledge of brand authentication across luxury categories.
• Experience with authentication tools such as Entrupy, loupe, UV light.

Responsibilities

• Physically inspect donated items to determine authenticity before listing.
• List authenticated items on ShopGoodwill, eBay, and other platforms with accurate descriptions.
• Photograph items with detail shots for remote verification.
• Flag counterfeit items and escalate as needed per policy.
• Collaborate with production to stage items for listing and improve workflows.
