Job summary

AvantStay is hiring a Guest Services Associate to welcome guests, handle check-in/check-out, and provide concierge services at our Laguna Beach properties. You will coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance, resolve guest requests, and ensure an outstanding experience from arrival to departure.

The role requires a customer-first attitude, strong communication, and ability to work flexible day shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• “Guest First” attitude toward hospitality and creating great experiences.
• Broad range of technology experience including property management systems.
• Excellent communication with a broad range of stakeholders.
• Comfort working in a startup environment with empowerment to decide.
• Positive, self-starter attitude; can work in a team or independently.
• Desire to learn about short-term rentals and housekeeping.
• Strong analytical, strategic, and collaborative skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and high standards.
• Willingness to work weekends/evenings; full-time.
• Experience in real estate, hospitality and/or tech is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests on arrival and assist with check-in/check-out.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and concerns.
• Provide concierge services: local recommendations, reservations, special requests.
• Manage and prioritize guest issues to ensure satisfaction.
• Assist with luggage storage and other guest services as needed.
• Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure room readiness for arrivals.
• Troubleshoot minor maintenance and technology issues (TV, Wi-Fi, locks).
• Share area insights to enhance the guest experience.
• Maintain communication with management and other teams for seamless service.
• Help ensure the property is well-presented and well-maintained.
• Manage property cases and complete work orders.
