Job summary

AvantStay seeks an on-site Hotel Operations Manager in Laguna Beach to lead guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, safety, and programming. You’ll supervise diverse teams, optimize labor, and maintain high guest satisfaction with staffing aligned to business needs.

You will drive programming, ensure room readiness, manage vendor relations, and sustain AvantStay’s standard of exceptional experiences for groups and travelers alike.

Qualifications

• Min 3 years in hotel operations or a similar leadership role.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple teams and foster collaboration.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible schedule including weekends/evenings/holidays.
• Familiarity with hospitality management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead Guest Experience Agents and housekeeping staff to deliver top service.
• Schedule and lead team meetings; guide priorities and resolve issues.
• Train and mentor staff to uphold AvantStay standards.
• Manage guest complaints and concierge-level guest information.
• Oversee front desk operations and customer-focused programming.
• Administer labor, payroll, and scheduling for productivity.
• Inspect rooms daily and ensure readiness; supervise maintenance.
• Coordinate safety and vendor activities; monitor vendor expenses.
