Job summary

AvantStay is seeking a Guest Services Associate to welcome guests at our Laguna Beach properties and support front desk and concierge tasks. You’ll handle check-ins/outs, respond to inquiries, and provide tailored recommendations while coordinating with housekeeping and other hotel teams to ensure smooth operations.

The role requires a proactive, customer-focused attitude, comfort with a fast-paced startup environment, and weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests upon arrival and assist with check-in/check-out processes.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, inquiries, and concerns.
• Provide concierge services, including local recommendations, reservations, and special requests.
• Manage and prioritize guest issues and ensure satisfaction.
• Assist with luggage storage and guest services as needed.
• Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure room readiness for arriving guests.
• Troubleshoot minor maintenance and technology issues (TV, Wi‑Fi, locks).
• Act as a local expert sharing insights about the area to enhance stays.
• Ensure seamless communication with hotel management, housekeeping, and maintenance teams.
• Assist in maintaining a welcoming property environment.
• Manage property cases and complete work orders.
