Job summary

The Langham, Chicago, part of Langham Hospitality Group, seeks a Front of House Manager to oversee Travelle Restaurant and Bar, Pavilion, and In Room Dining, ensuring top-tier guest experiences. You will lead service teams, uphold Forbes standards, coordinate with hotel departments, and monitor sanitation, safety, and product quality in high-volume settings.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management preferred.
• One year of previous Food and Beverage and management experience; luxury experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain any government required license or certificate.
• Thorough knowledge of Food and Beverage outlet operations including foods, beverages, supervisory aspects, service techniques, and guest interaction.
• Excellent math skills and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise servers and staff with schedules, service standards, training, motivation, and safety.
• Provide consistent communication and feedback to colleagues.
• Ensure service standards via daily audits.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings with Food and Beverage staff.
• Handle guest concerns professionally with timely follow-through.
• Ensure sanitation and safety standards; inspect facilities and coordinate repairs.
• Monitor product quality and guest satisfaction; interact with guests for feedback.
• Maintain inventory and par levels to support service.
• Contribute to marketing efforts and menu ideas; assess food trends.
• Cover line duties during high volume or emergencies.
• Uphold Forbes service standards and Langham protocols.
• Collaborate with hotel departments and leadership.
