The Monarch San Antonio, Curio Collection by Hilton, is a 200-room, 17-story boutique hotel located in the Hemisfair District of downtown San Antonio. The Event Planning Manager will execute luxury catering and group events in collaboration with operations, delivering highly customized guest experiences and driving profitability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a luxury hotel or resort environment preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of catering sales experience preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of event planning experience preferred.
• Prior experience leading or coordinating complex events preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and client-facing skills.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsabilités

• Plan, detail, and execute meetings, catering events, and group functions, including space requirements, timelines, menus, decor, and equipment.
• Serve as the primary liaison between clients and hotel departments to ensure seamless event delivery.
• Conduct site inspections and visually inspect meeting rooms and event spaces to ensure accuracy against BEOs.
• Service high-end VIP groups and complex events with a focus on personalization and excellence.
• Partner closely with the Director of Events, Sales leadership, and Operations to deliver high-impact luxury events.
• Ensure consistent service standards through process reviews and on-site execution oversight.
• Collaborate with culinary teams to support creative menu development and customized experiences.
• Integrate current trends in event design and guest experience.
