Neiman Marcus in Palo Alto is seeking a Restaurant Server to greet guests, take orders, and deliver meals with warmth and professionalism in line with Neiman Marcus standards.

You will use menu knowledge, wine and beverage familiarity, manage multiple duties, uphold hygiene, and coordinate with management on schedules. A flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays is required; prior food service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in serving food and beverage and following proper table service guidelines.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Motivated and results-driven.
• Thorough knowledge of order of service and proper placement of table settings.
• Ability to interact graciously with the public and handle multiple duties.

Responsibilities

• Serves assigned seating section of dining area in a professional and gracious manner.
• Utilizes knowledge of food, culinary terminology, to provide detailed information about menu items.
• Leverages knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits, including service procedures.
• Interacts graciously with the public and handles multiple duties at the same time.
• Participates in daily pre-shift meeting.
• Adheres to established accounting procedures for all transactions and uses the POS system.
• Executes pre-shift, post-shift, and daily/weekly duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Maintains hygiene and cleans workstation.
