Job summary

Fairmont Scottsdale Princess is seeking a Convention Set-Up Supervisor to lead our Banquet & Set-Up team and ensure flawless execution of events. You will coordinate load-in/out, oversee ballrooms, and collaborate with maintenance to protect assets while upholding luxury hospitality standards.

Ideal candidates will have prior Banquet Set-Up or supervisory experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Warm, caring personality and customer-focused attitude.
• Previous Banquet Set-Up or Supervisor experience preferred.
• Ability to follow directions, be reliable and professional.
• Strong reading comprehension of BEOs and diagrams; clear written/oral communication.
• Comfort working under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to work cohesively with/without supervision.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Overseeing and leading a team of Banquet & Set-Up housemen.
• Communicating load in/out information to all parties.
• Monitoring group movement in ballrooms and protecting assets.
• Inspecting ballrooms before/after load in/out.
• Conducting weekly walk-throughs of function spaces.
• Documenting and reporting repairs to maintenance.
• Maximizing revenue by selling poly tak and renting tarps.
• Assist with planning daily shift assignments.
• Perform duties of Banquet Set-Up supervisor as needed.
• Discipline staff as required.
• Maintain hygiene standards for food handling and presentation.
• Adhere to safety and sanitation policies.
