Job summary

Governors Club in Chapel Hill, NC seeks a Dishwasher/Steward to join a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen. You will operate dishwashing equipment, manage sanitation, and support food preparation and dining area setup.

Responsibilities

• Operate the dishwashing machine to clean and sanitize dishes, trays, silverware, glassware, pots, and pans
• Scrape, separate, and organize items prior to washing
• Monitor and record dish-machine temperatures; report any low temperatures or malfunctions
• Set up and utilize a three-compartment sink for cleaning and sanitizing pots and pans
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, including sweeping, mopping floors, and removing trash
• Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing food and supply deliveries
• Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure food safety
• Support dining and serving area setup as needed
• Perform all duties in accordance with food safety and sanitation best practices
• Other duties as assigned
