Job summary

Joseph Phelps Vineyards seeks a Client Engagement Specialist to cultivate long-term relationships and support direct-to-consumer sales through personalized engagement. The role serves as a trusted contact, delivering refined service that reflects a luxury wine brand, via calls, emails, SMS, and more.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years in telephone sales, clienteling, luxury hospitality, or premium wine industry preferred.
• Excellent sales and interpersonal communication; able to connect authentically by phone, email, and in person.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and efficient with strong follow-up.
• Experience with CRM tools; familiarity with Commerce7 and RedChirp is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Outreach: generate revenue through relationship-based client outreach and meet sales goals.
• Deliver gracious, personalized service to clients and members.
• Recommend wines based on client preferences and history; participate in outreach meetings.
• Database management: enter orders in Commerce7 and maintain accurate consumer data.
• Set follow-up tasks and note customer preferences and buying patterns.
• Wine shipments & inventory: assist with shipping details, track orders, and handle returns.
• Guest communication: respond promptly to calls/emails; handle concerns with warmth and polish.
• Provide pairing recommendations and storage/serving guidance; act as brand ambassador.
• Support membership coordination and educate customers on benefits; provide admin support as needed.
