Job summary

The Inn at Mattei’s Tavern, Auberge Collection in Los Olivos, CA is seeking a bartender to join its luxury beverage team. You will assist with beverage preparation, engage guests, and ensure high-quality service in a stylish, fast-paced setting.

A minimum of one year of bartender experience and knowledge of spirits, beer and wine is required. A flexible schedule including weekends is expected; state or local certifications may be required to serve alcohol.

Qualifications

• One year experience in foodservice/hospitality as a bartender preferred.
• Knowledge of spirits, beer, and wine; luxury hospitality experience preferred.
• Must be of minimum age to serve alcohol.
• Ability to work flexible schedule incl. weekends and holidays.
• State/local certifications such as food handlers/alcohol training as applicable to the position.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests with beverage and drink preparation and bar/restaurant service.
• Relate with guests to understand needs and ensure high-quality service.
• Know menu drinks and standard drinks to upsell suitable options.
• Follow Bishop’s Lodge / Forbes standards in use within the Bar and Restaurant outlets.
• Help improve F&B sales by knowing drinks, cocktails, and prices.
• Take orders, process them in Micros, ensure correct timing and billing.
• Prepare guest checks and collect payment; operate and clean bar equipment.
• Keep bar stocked and maintain safety procedures.
