Job summary

Black Desert Resort in Southern Utah seeks a Banquet Setup Supervisor to oversee event preparations, breakdowns, and storage while leading the setup team and ensuring luxury service standards.

You will coordinate with culinary and banquet service teams, manage event timelines, and uphold safety. This full-time onsite role requires flexibility for early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of banquet or event setup experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of BEOs, event setup procedures, and banquet service standards.
• Ability to lead a team, delegate tasks, and ensure quality in fast-paced settings.
• Excellent organization and multi-tasking abilities; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and assist with setup and breakdown of all banquet events per orders.
• Ensure tables, chairs, linens, décor, staging, and equipment meet specs.
• Lead the banquet setup team; provide training and task assignments.
• Maintain organized banquet storage; track inventory of setup items.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure proper setup and readiness.
• Coordinate with banquet service and culinary teams for smooth transitions.
• Monitor timelines to meet resort standards and client expectations.
• Uphold safety and sanitation per OSHA and resort policies.
• Support large events; align setup with luxury service expectations.
• Address last-minute changes to ensure guest satisfaction.
