Job summary

Black Desert Resort in Southern Utah seeks a Banquet Setup Supervisor to oversee event preparations, breakdowns, and overall banquet organization, ensuring flawless setups for weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations.

You will lead the banquet setup team, manage inventory, and coordinate with culinary and event planning teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Prior supervision and strong organizational skills are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of banquet or event setup experience.
• At least 1 year in a supervisory role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of banquet event orders (BEOs) and setup procedures.
• Ability to lead a team and delegate tasks in fast-paced settings.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and assist with setup and breakdown of all banquet events based on BEOs.
• Ensure tables, chairs, linens, décor, staging and equipment meet specifications.
• Lead the banquet setup team, provide training and assign tasks.
• Maintain organized banquet storage and track inventory.
• Perform quality checks for setup cleanliness and readiness.
• Coordinate with banquet service and culinary teams for seamless transitions.
• Monitor timelines to meet hotel standards and client expectations.
• Uphold safety and sanitation standards per OSHA and resort policies.
• Support large, high-profile events and handle last-minute changes.
