Job summary

Black Desert Resort in Southern Utah seeks a Banquet Set Up - Full-Time who will set up and dismantle banquet and event spaces, coordinate layouts, and support banquet servers and event staff to ensure flawless events.

Reporting to the Banquet Manager, you will uphold safety and cleanliness, work with culinary teams, and help prepare spaces for upcoming functions, all while contributing to a premier guest experience at a luxury resort.

Qualifications

• Experience in banquet setup or event operations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow event setup instructions.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of banquet service standards is a plus.
• Professional demeanor and commitment to service.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down banquet and event spaces according to specifications.
• Ensure room layouts and equipment are properly placed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet storage areas.
• Assist banquet servers and event staff by ensuring necessary supplies, linens, and equipment are available.
• Respond to last-minute changes to ensure smooth event execution.
• Assist with loading and unloading event equipment as needed.
• Ensure all banquet areas meet safety and sanitation standards.
• Work collaboratively with the banquet and culinary teams to ensure timely event setup and breakdown.
• Support post-event cleanup, resetting spaces, and preparing for upcoming functions.
• Uphold Black Desert Resort’s service standards, ensuring an elevated and seamless guest experience.
• Attend mandatory orientations and trainings.
• Other duties as assigned
