Job summary

Andaz Miami Beach Resort & Spa is seeking a Banquets Server to support our luxury events. You will deliver food and beverage service during hotel banquet functions and help maintain an elegant, guest-focused atmosphere.

The role requires a positive attitude, basic food & beverage knowledge, and the ability to stand for long periods. A valid food handler badge and flexible schedule are preferred for weekend and holiday events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of service standards and guest relations.
• Experience in food and beverage or customer service preferred (1 year).
• Ability to lift moderate weight and stay active.
• Must be able to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods.
• Excellent verbal communication and professional appearance.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts.

Responsibilities

• Serve guests during functions using Forbes service standards.
• Set up event room with glassware, service ware, linen.
• Attend pre-shift to learn function specifics.
• Greet and assist guests courteously.
• Serve beverages and food in proper order.
• Clear dishes promptly and maintain cleanliness.
• Comply with all laws and policies for serving alcohol.
• Restock and check guest satisfaction.
• Reset room after function and prepare for next event.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
