Job summary

Pleasantdale Chateau in West Orange, NJ, seeks an energetic salesperson to support weddings and upscale social events. The role focuses on increasing mid-week and weekend bookings, negotiating with a luxury client base, and delivering exceptional service with our hospitality team.

You will work closely with ownership, the Director of Sales, and department heads to meet sales targets, manage inquiries, and coordinate customized event packages within standard menus and venue policies.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree or equivalent education/experience in hospitality or business.
• Minimum of four years in corporate sales at a high-end banquet/venue or hotel.
• Advanced knowledge of sales practices, competitive rates, and event management.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day sales, venue tours, contracting, and pricing strategy.
• Respond to inquiries and drive sales from lead to event booking.
• Prepare RFP responses and build client relationships with pending/booked events.
• Collaborate with Director of Sales and other department heads.
• Document leads, tentative events, and booked events with projections.
