Job summary

Hospitality Spotlight is seeking a Banquet Chef for a luxury hotel on the central coast of California. You will uphold plating/portioning standards and plan event staffing with a focus on memorable guest service.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in luxury hotel banquet kitchens, strong leadership, budgeting insight, and passion for wine trends. Degree in culinary arts preferred; experience with brand/boutique hotels is a plus. This role requires excellence in ethics and mentoring the team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as Banquet Chef in luxury hotel.
• Strong problem solving and quick decision making.
• Understands hotel financial reports; analyzes budgets.
• Passion for hospitality and progressive hotel career.
• Knowledge of wine, spirits and cocktail trends.
• Experience with brand and boutique hotels preferred.
• Luxury hotel experience required.
• Degree in culinary arts strongly preferred.
• Proven leadership and mentoring ability.
• Interpersonal, adaptive influencing and supervisory skills.
• Team player and multitasker.
• Excellence in business ethics and integrity.
