Job summary

Lexus of Nashville is seeking an exceptional Service Consultant to join its fast-paced, guest-focused team, placing you at the center of a premier luxury dealership where you guide guests through their service experience with confidence and expertise.

As the primary connection between guests and the service department, you will coordinate repairs, recommendations, and interactions to reflect the Lexus brand's high standards while maintaining excellent customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 19.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic mechanical understanding of automobiles.
• Strong customer relations and communication skills.
• Computer literacy; Reynolds and Reynolds experience is a plus.
• Team-oriented mindset with high energy.
• Ability to pass all pre-employment screenings (background, MVR, drug test, credit report, license).

Responsibilities

• Recommend repairs and services that genuinely support each customer's needs, ensuring trust and long-term satisfaction.
• Confirm warranty and service contract coverage by reviewing records and clearly explaining provisions and exclusions.
• Manage service appointment scheduling and gather customer and vehicle information in advance.
• Work closely with service greeters to create a smooth and welcoming check-in experience.
• Communicate customer concerns to technicians and coordinate test drives when needed.
• Prepare detailed repair orders with symptoms, causes, and services; secure approvals and enter data into the system.
• Review service history and identify additional maintenance opportunities for longevity.
• Educate customers on proper vehicle care and manufacturer recommendations.
• Assign repair orders to technicians to maximize efficiency and quality.
• Track repair progress and update customers on timing or costs; secure authorization for additional work.
• Review completed repair orders for accuracy before closing.
• Provide clear explanations of work and charges.
• Uphold high customer satisfaction and dealership reputation.
• Coordinate work orders for productivity and seamless experience.
• Maintain a polished appearance and perform additional duties as assigned.
