Job summary

Saks Fifth Avenue in Boca Raton is seeking an experienced Alteration Staff member to join the tailoring team, delivering customer service and tailoring expertise as required. You will fit and alter a wide range of luxury garments, use specialty machines, and ensure an exceptional customer experience while upholding Saks policies and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ fitting and tailoring experience in high-end merchandise.
• Ability to fit and perform alterations on a wide range of garments.
• Strong technical background in leather, knits, double face, beading, fine tailoring, buttonholes etc. is desired and a benefit.
• Ability to use all standard sewing, pressing & spotting equipment.
• Ability to use specialty machines: Double-blind, Buttonhole, Cover-stitch, Leather.
• Knowledge of Alterations industry includes fabrication and styling of luxury merchandise.
• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

• Support company/store and department initiatives.
• Ad hoc responsibilities as needed
