Job summary

The Barnett is seeking a full-time Seaworthy server in New Orleans. You will identify guests’ needs, serve quickly with knowledge of the menu, and maintain a clean, organized station throughout shifts.

Excellent guest interaction, accuracy in orders, and upselling are key responsibilities. Qualified candidates should have at least 2 years of server experience in a similar restaurant, high school diploma, and optional ServSafe/TiPS certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; hospitality courses preferred.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a server in a similar-sized restaurant.
• ServSafe, TiPS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet and acknowledge guests upon arrival.
• Take and deliver orders accurately; use Micros POS.
• Upsell items to guests.
• Maintain clean and organized server station.
• Handle payments in PCI-compliant manner.
• Know hotel services and hours of operation.
• Work with a spirit of teamwork; communicate with management.
• Check guests' IDs to ensure legal alcohol service.
