Job summary

Fairmont Century Plaza is seeking a Restaurant cook to lead on-site food preparation for our guests and events. You will collaborate with a culinary team to deliver high-quality dishes while maintaining strict cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.

You will collaborate with Chefs to develop talent and ensure guest satisfaction, with opportunities for growth across properties and CSR initiatives. This role demands reliability, teamwork, and a guest-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to work cohesively and collectively as part of a team.
• Diploma/certification in a culinary discipline preferred.
• Previous cook experience required.
• Knowledge in garde manger and savory kitchen prep.
• Ability to work in big quantities and batches.

Responsibilities

• Preparing quality food for our guess and high profile events we have
• Actively share ideas, opinions and suggestions to improve the environment and menus
• Ensure the consistency in the preparation of all food items for a la carte and/or buffet menus according to property recipes and standards
• Provide training and development for culinary team members
• Communicate effectively with the rest of the team and thrive for guest feedback
