Job summary

Pier Sixty-Six Resort is seeking a Grounds and Pool Maintenance Engineer to manage all grounds and aquatic facilities, including waste systems, at a high-end beachfront property in Fort Lauderdale. This hands-on role combines maintenance work with supervising third-party contractors to ensure pristine conditions and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; trade coursework in landscaping, pool maintenance, or related fields desirable.
• Some experience in grounds or pool maintenance preferred but not required.
• Certifications such as Certified Pool Operator (CPO) within the first year advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily resort sweeps to maintain a pristine environment.
• Operate blowers to keep walkways clear and welcoming.
• Inspect grounds and coordinate maintenance or enhancements as needed.
• Monitor and report maintenance issues to Supervisor promptly.
• Perform daily pool and pool deck checks and report irregularities.
• Test and adjust pool water chemistry; maintain records for safety.
• Clean pool strainers and maintain filtration systems.
• Oversee waste removal and recycling programs across the property.
