Job summary

Hotel Nikko San Francisco is seeking a dependable Server Assistant / Food Runner to support the restaurant team and deliver exceptional guest service. The role focuses on maintaining a clean, organized dining area and ensuring timely and accurate food and beverage service.

Responsibilities include clearing and resetting tables, delivering food, supporting servers and bartenders, and maintaining buffet and bar areas.

Qualifications

Must possess a valid California Food Handler Certification and RBS Certification, or be willing to obtain both upon hire.
Strong teamwork and positive attitude are essential for a high-service dining environment.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant setting.
Excellent communication and attention to detail for accurate service.

Responsibilities

Clear, clean, and reset tables; maintain dining room cleanliness during service.
Deliver food from kitchen to guests accurately and promptly.
Support servers and bartenders with daily operations.
Set up and maintain buffet and bar areas, including ice, glassware, and supplies.
Stock and replenish glassware, silverware, beverages, and service items.
Prepare coffee, tea, juices, and assist with basic mise en place.
Monitor equipment and report maintenance concerns.
Follow food safety, sanitation, and service standards.
Respond promptly to guest requests and assist with side work as needed.
