Associated Students, UCLA, seeks a part-time student worker for our campus bookstore and campus store operations. You will assist with textbooks, school supplies, and branded apparel while supporting daily customer service, order processing, and in-store merchandising.

Work hours are flexible to fit class schedules, including some evenings and Saturdays. The role requires reliable, organized student volunteers with basic POS experience and strong communication skills to serve a diverse student

Qualifications

• Registered UCLA students only
• Availability to work a minimum of 8 hours per week (including Finals Week)
• Availability for at least 1 opening shift and 1 closing shift per week
• Availability for some evenings and 1-2 Saturdays per quarter
• Customer-focused with the ability to engage and assist a diverse student population
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
• Reliable and punctual
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks
• Comfortable in a fast-paced retail setting, especially during peak academic cycles
• Basic computer proficiency (POS systems, order processing)
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting (up to 50 lbs.), bending, standing, and walking

Responsabilités

• Provide customer service for textbooks, including Law and UCLA Extension course materials.
• Process web orders, including picking, packing, and customer pickup coordination.
• Assist customers with school supplies and UCLA Law / graduate program apparel (BearWear and related merchandise).
• Maintain sales floor organization, including restocking and replenishment of textbooks, supplies, and apparel.
• Ensure merchandise is properly displayed and inventory is accurately maintained.
• Operate point-of-sale system and handle transactions.
• Support Market team during high-volume periods and collaborate on daily tasks.
• Assist in the market area as needed.
• Perform basic administrative and inventory-related tasks.

Days/Hours:
