Atlantic Smart Technologies in Jupiter, FL, is seeking a Lutron Systems Designer & Programmer to lead shade design and programming for high-end residential projects. You will measure, specify fabrics, coordinate with GCs, and build materials while also supporting lighting control design.
The role blends front-end design and back-end commissioning, requiring collaboration with sales, architects, interior designers, and window consultants. Hybrid work and local travel are involved.
Atlantic Smart Technologies|Jupiter, FL|Full-Time
Atlantic Smart Technologies is a luxury home automation and low-voltage integration firm serving Palm Beach, Martin, and Indian River counties for over 25 years. As a Lutron Diamond Dealer and Savant Platinum Ambassador, we design, engineer, install, and service the most technically demanding custom homes in South Florida — including signature communities like Panther National, Atlantic Fields, and Admiral's Cove.
We are expanding our Lutron division and hiring a Lutron Systems Designer & Programmer. The primary focus of this role is Lutron motorized shades — Sivoia QS, Palladiom, and Triathlon — with secondary responsibility for Lutron lighting control. You will own the complete shade scope on every project: measuring windows, specifying fabrics and hardware, coordinating pocket and bracket details with the GC, building bills of materials, and programming and commissioning the finished system. On the lighting side, you will support HomeWorks QSX, RadioRA 3, and Ketra design and programming alongside our existing lighting team.
This is a dual-hat role: you will own Lutron system design on the front end (bills of materials, riser diagrams, shade schedules, keypad layouts, load schedules) and commissioning on the back end (programming, scene-building, testing, client sign-off). You will work directly with our sales team, builders, architects, interior designers, and window treatment consultants to deliver flawless systems from first design review through one-year post-CO service.
Please note: This is not an IT, stage/theatrical lighting, or commercial audio engineering role. It is a residential low-voltage design and field commissioning position centered on Lutron, with supporting knowledge of AV, control, and home automation.
When applying, please list your specific Lutron experience — separating your shade work (measuring, specifying, programming Sivoia QS / Palladiom / Triathlon) from your lighting control work (HomeWorks, RadioRA, Ketra) — and call out the areas where you consider yourself strongest.
Starting salary $85,000
Competitive base pay commensurate with experience and Lutron certification level. Specific range discussed during interview.
