Job summary

Puyallup Tribe seeks a Director to lead the Language Program and integrate Lushootseed across tribal services and community education. You will supervise staff, manage curricula, and coordinate translations, classes, and materials for learners of all ages.

The role requires a BA in a related field, supervisory experience, and strong collaboration with tribal leadership and schools to promote language preservation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field; four years as a Language Teacher.
• Two years supervisory experience and two years in program coordination/management; or equivalent combination.
• Must demonstrate intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Word). Must be a Puyallup Tribal Member.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage the Language Program operations and ensure Lushootseed integration.
• Oversee budgets, controls, and grant reporting.
• Develop curriculum and supervise staff to meet community needs.
• Provide consultations, translations, and materials for Lushootseed learners.
