Descrizione del lavoro

Doyon Foundation seeks a skilled professional to lead the Language Revitalization Program in the Doyon region. You will supervise language staff, manage staffing, budgets, and grants, and ensure timely reporting and contractual compliance.

You will collaborate with other program directors and communities to preserve Alaska Native languages and culture, and you will contribute to archival and data-driven program improvements.

Competenze

  • Degree in Alaska Native Languages or Linguistics (or equivalent).
  • Experience in grant writing and management of contracts and grants.
  • Knowledge of Alaska Native cultures.
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint; MS Project a plus.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Mansioni

  • Manage the Language Revitalization Program including staffing, budgeting, planning, goals/objectives, grant administration and ensure compliance to contractual obligations and requirements.
  • Develop budgets and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Research and obtain grants and contracts to meet department goals.
  • Establish goals, policies, and procedures; develop needs surveys and reporting.
  • Provide staff support for the Language Revitalization Committee.
  • Attend conferences and meetings related to Language Revitalization.
  • Collaborate with other program directors and communities to incorporate region languages and culture.
  • Develop and implement a plan to archive materials important to language and culture.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by ED.
