Job summary

The Ohio State University’s University Hospital – Transplant Center is seeking a Transplant Coordinator (RN) to coordinate transplant patient evaluations, review medical histories, and support pre-op and post-transplant care, working with surgeons, pulmonologists, and supporting services.

Responsibilities include education of patients and staff, data submission to national agencies, on-call coverage, and liaison with related departments; requires nursing degree and Ohio licensure, with CCTC

Qualifications

• Bachelor's level degree required.
• Graduate from an approved school of nursing; current Ohio licensure.
• Prior medical/surgical experience; ICU, pulmonary, or transplant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate transplant patient evaluations and pre-op studies.
• Liaise with transplant surgeons, pulmonologists, and related services.
• Develop educational programs for patients and staff in Central Ohio.
• Assist with coordination and submission of annual statistics to national/regulatory bodies.
• Provide on-call support for the lung transplant program.
