Job summary

The University of Iowa Health Care is seeking a 100% Lung Transplant Coordinator to support our Adult Lung Transplant Team. This role involves coordinating care from pre-transplant evaluation through post-transplant recovery, working closely with transplant pulmonologists, surgeons and interdisciplinary teams.

The position demands strong nursing expertise in pulmonary care, transplantation protocols, and the ability to educate and advocate for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing is required.
• Current license to practice nursing in Iowa is required.
• Current BLS certification is required by start date.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with nursing, medical staff and other health professionals to plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Oversee patient flow through the UI Health Care continuum in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Coordinate and facilitate patient care across multiple disciplines and settings, including home health and referring physicians.
