Job summary

FirstHealth of the Carolinas in Pinehurst, NC seeks an experienced Advanced Practice Provider for our Lung Cancer Program. The role focuses on early detection and evaluation of lung cancer in an outpatient setting, with no nights, weekends, or hospital call.

You will collaborate with Pulmonology, Thoracic Surgery, Oncology, Nurse Navigators, and Lung Nodule Program Coordinators to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care and become an expert in lung nodule evaluation and screening.

Qualifications

• PA graduates from an AMA-approved program with NCCPA certification.
• NP graduates from an accredited NP program with national certification.
• Minimum 2 years of Advanced Practice experience, preferably in pulmonology, oncology, or thoracic surgery.
• Clean background, NC license, NC DEA, and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Play an important role in early detection and evaluation of lung cancer.
• 100% outpatient with no nights, weekends, or hospital call.
• Manage evaluation and treatment through centralized lung screening and incidental nodules.
• Collaborate with Pulmonology, Thoracic Surgery, Oncology, NNPs, and coordinators.
• Join a highly collaborative multidisciplinary team in a Center of Excellence.
