Job Overview
As a Lunch Line Cook, you will work closely with the BOH Team to ensure that all meals are prepared in a timely and efficient manner. All cooks are key members of our culinary team, responsible for making sure dishes go to our customers efficiently and correctly. This role involves a desire to learn, an ability to keep up with the demand of the business, and teamwork. Essential Functions
- Prepare dishes according to company recipes, portion guidelines, and presentation standards.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the menu, ingredients, and preparation methods.
- Follow kitchen policies, procedures, and service standards at all times.
- Accurately read, measure, and execute recipes.
- Ensure quality, consistency, and attention to detail in all food prepared.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with management and team members to coordinate service.
- Assist other team members with cooking and preparation as needed to meet service demands.
- Contribute to a positive, cooperative, and team‑oriented work environment.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience in the culinary field.
- Food Handler’s Certification or equivalent (preferred).
- Passion for cooking, creativity, and strong attention to detail.
- Commitment to quality, teamwork, and a positive work ethic.
- 2 years of sauté, grill cook experience required.
- Experience in a high‑volume restaurant.
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and perform under pressure.

Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for extended periods (8–10 hours per shift).
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. (pots, pans, boxes of supplies).
- Frequently bend, stoop, reach, and navigate tight spaces.
- Maintain manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination for food preparation.
- Work effectively in a hot, fast‑paced environment near ovens and stoves.
- Read recipes and monitor food quality with visual accuracy.
- Communicate clearly with team members.
- Sustain physical stamina for long, high‑pressure shifts.
Schedule
Hospitality demands a flexible schedule that may require extended hours as the business requires coverage, including seasonality – on any day at any hour, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
