Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Structures Shift Leader to guide a team of Structures Technicians responsible for fabrication, drilling, assembly, fixturing, alignment, and integration of aerospace structures for flight and non-flight hardware.

You will provide day-to-day leadership on the production floor, drive continuous improvement, and work closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Production Control, and Program Management to keep schedules on track and ensure the highest

Qualifications

• 8+ years in aerospace manufacturing, structures assembly, or related environment.
• 2+ years leading production teams or shift operations.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and manufacturing specs.
• Experience with precision measurement tools (torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers).
• Coordinate work across Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Supply Chain.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Structures Technicians in fabrication, drilling, assembly, fixturing, alignment, and integration of aerospace structures.
• Enforce a safety- and quality-first culture across every shift.
• Execute daily production plan balancing safety, quality, delivery, and labor efficiency.
• Conduct shift startups, communicate priorities, identify risks, and coordinate recovery plans.
• Ensure work complies with drawings, instructions, specs, and standard work.
