Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced Operational Excellence Leader to drive Lean Six Sigma across Lunar Operations. You will lead cross-functional process improvements, mentor teams, and influence at all levels from shop floor to senior leadership.

Requires 12–15 years in operational excellence, Six Sigma certification, and aerospace/defense experience. This full-time role reports to Blue Origin Operations and offers comprehensive benefits and a culture of safety and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations or related field.
• 12–15 years of experience in operational excellence or process improvement.
• Certification in Six Sigma Green Belt (Black Belt preferred), Lean, PMP, or equivalent.
• Experience implementing Lean Six Sigma in complex operations.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, or similar regulated industries.
• Strong facilitation and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Proven ability to lead through influence rather than direct authority.
• Experience managing in ambiguous, rapidly changing environments.

Responsibilities

• Drive implementation of Lean Six Sigma methodologies across Lunar Operations.
• Lead cross-functional workshops using backward planning to optimize processes.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices.
• Develop and track KPIs to measure process effectiveness.
