Job summary

Blue Origin in Seattle, WA is seeking a trajectory design engineer to develop reference Earth-to-Moon trajectories for the Blue Moon program and to support the mission design lifecycle.

You will analyze trajectories, perform ground navigation analyses, and contribute to system trades, with a strong foundation in orbital mechanics and trajectory optimization tools. Collaborative cross‑functional work is expected throughout missions.

Qualifications

• BS degree in a related engineering field with trajectory focus.
• Experience in trajectory analysis, flight dynamics or mission design.
• Strong background in orbital mechanics and concept through operations.
• Experience with trajectory optimization tools and programming languages.

Responsibilities

• Develop reference Earth-to-Moon trajectories for Blue Moon.
• Perform ground navigation analysis and orbit determination.
• Support trades to validate mission requirements and design.
• Develop flight dynamics software and support flight operations.
