Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Flight Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain flight software enabling spacecraft operations and hardware integration for lunar missions. You will work in a fast-paced spaceflight environment with diverse engineering teams.

The role requires 2+ years of C/C++ development, embedded C with RTOS, Linux/POSIX, and experience with hardware/software integration. Familiarity with SpaceWire, CFS framework, and Docker is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of C/C++ development with embedded C on RTOS.
• 2+ years of hardware/software integration experience.
• Experience with Linux/POSIX environments and SpaceWire protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain flight software features in C/C++.
• Integrate software with spacecraft hardware and communication systems.
• Perform hardware/software integration testing, troubleshooting, and performance analysis.
• Develop unit and integration tests and support system-level validation activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams in a fast-paced spaceflight environment.
