Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a GNC Automation Engineer to support design, development, and validation of guidance, navigation, and control systems for advanced lunar spacecraft. Responsibilities include developing flight software, sensor and effector integration, HWIL/SWIL testing, and 6-DOF simulations.

Collaboration with software and systems teams drives mission success. The ideal candidate has a strong background in real-time software, Kalman filtering, and GN&C hardware such as IMU, Star

Qualifications

• BS in Aerospace Engineering with 3+ years of experience or MS with 1+ year of experience.
• 3+ years developing spacecraft automation software.
• Experience with real-time software development.
• Familiarity with GN&C hardware (IMU, Star Trackers, GPS, LIDAR, OpNav).
• Experience with SWIL/HWIL testing and integration.
• Exposure to relative navigation, image processing, or feature detection.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate guidance, navigation, and control systems for lunar spacecraft.
• Develop flight software and integrate navigation sensors and effectors.
• Perform HWIL/SWIL testing and 6-DOF simulations.
• Evaluate vehicle performance using orbital mechanics and real-time control techniques.
