Job summary

Blue Origin seeks an Embedded Controls Engineer to develop motor controllers for lunar vehicles within the Lunar Avionics team. You will design and implement control algorithms in embedded software, and work with cryogenic fluids, docking mechanisms, space suit interfaces, and related actuators.

You will plan work, verify designs meet performance, reliability and safety standards for human spaceflight, and collaborate with experts in embedded control.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems or related discipline.
• 3+ years in control system design, verification, or avionics hardware.
• Experience with Matlab/Simulink and autocode generation in C/C++.
• Hands-on experience with development and production hardware.
• Familiarity with embedded hardware including inverters, gate drivers, ADCs, SPI, I2C, UART, PWM, MCUs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test and own motor control algorithms and tuning with the team.
• Deliver motor controller family for multiple lunar vehicles.
• Test, verify and integrate control designs with lunar subsystems.
