Job summary

Freight Breakers LLC in Romeoville, IL is seeking motivated and dedicated team members for a material handler role. Primary duties include unloading and loading boxes from trailers in a production-based environment.

This full-time position offers a commission-based pay structure plus hourly pay when not on a truck, and overtime opportunities. The schedule is 7am-6:30pm with Sunday-Wednesday and Wednesday-Saturday rotations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older.
• Reliable transportation.
• Must have steel toe shoes.
• Must be present and on time for all scheduled shifts.
• Must be able to lift and carry 50-100 lbs.
• Must be able to work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Move pallets to/from staging area.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow receiving/shipping policies and procedures.
• Follow safety guidelines and protocols.
• Follow attendance policies and call-off procedures.
• Can be loading/unloading trucks; pay varies by truck while not on trucks still get paid while at work.

Overview: Our material handlers primarily assist with unloading and loading boxes from trailers. This is a production-based position.

*Commission based plus hr while not on a truck *

Responsibilities

• Move pallets to/from staging area.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow receiving/shipping policies and procedures.
• Follow safety guidelines and protocols.
• Follow attendance policies and call-off procedures.
• Can be loading / unloading trucks, each truck is based on different pay rate, while not on trucks still get paid awhile being at work

Requirements

• Must be 18 or older
• Reliable transportation
• Must have steel toe shoes
• Must be present and on time for all scheduled shifts
• Must be able to lift and carry 50-100LBS
• Must be able to work consistently for long periods of time
• Must be able to perform at or above production standards (after training)
• Must be able to work overtime when needed.
